Surakarta, August 14, 2025 – The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) welcomed a delegation from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Malaysia to explore opportunities for international collaboration in research, training, and exchange programs. The meeting took place on Thursday, August 14, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM WIB, attended by FKIP UMS leaders and the Directorate of Reputation, Partnership, and International Affairs.
From UMS, the attendees included Prof. Dr. Anam Sutopo, M.Hum (Dean of FKIP UMS), Dr. Muhammad Noor Kholid (Vice Dean for Cooperation and Internationalization, FKIP UMS), Nurgiyatna, S.T., M.Sc., Ph.D (Director of the Directorate of Reputation, Partnership, and International Affairs), and Hepy Adityarini, Ph.D (Head of Academic Development and Mobility Division). The UiTM delegation was led by Miss Dianna Suzieanna Mohamad Shah (Fellow of Collaborative Group 360 Video Based Learning, UiTM), Mohamad Safwat Ashahri Mohd Salim, and Mohd Nur Fitri Mohd Salim (Members of Collaborative Group 360 Video Based Learning, UiTM).
The meeting discussed opportunities for strategic collaboration, including joint research and scientific publications, co-hosting conferences, training and knowledge-sharing, as well as faculty exchange programs to broaden international perspectives and strengthen academic networks.
As an initial step in the collaboration, the two institutions will hold a Webinar Series on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, featuring speakers from UMS: Prof. Dr. Budi Murtiyasa, M.Kom and Dr. Endah Sudarmilah, S.T., M.Eng, who will present topics on gamification and artificial intelligence (AI).
