SURAKARTA – The Islamic Studies Assembly of PGSD Student Association (MAKKAH) 2024, organized by the Student Association of the Primary School Teacher Education Study Program (HMP PGSD), Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP), Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS), was successfully held on Sunday, September 29, 2024. The event took place at the Mohammad Djazman Auditorium, FKIP UMS, carrying the theme: “Don’t be Sad, Allah is Always With You.”

MAKKAH 2024 featured an inspiring speaker (Ustadz) who captivated all PGSD students with his message, and the participants showed great enthusiasm. More than 200 people attended the event, which marked it as a resounding success. According to the MAKKAH 2024 committee, based on the active participation and energy shown by attendees, the event ran smoothly and successfully.
The Head Organizer of MAKKAH 2024 explained that the main goal of the event was to create an Islamic atmosphere on campus while strengthening Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah) among youth, in line with the chosen theme. Additionally, the event served as a platform for networking and strengthening bonds among participants.

MAKKAH 2024 was not only aimed at creating an Islamic environment but also served as a moment of fellowship for all attendees. The event concluded with a discussion and Q&A session with Kak Indzar, the guest speaker for MAKKAH 2024. With high enthusiasm and energy, MAKKAH 2024 is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of diverse learning abilities, as well as encourage students to innovate and adapt in this ever-evolving digital era—while incorporating Islamic values into their daily lives.
With strong spirit and support from all parties, MAKKAH 2024 is expected to have a positive impact on students’ personal development, especially in enhancing learning skills and nurturing the drive to keep innovating in all aspects of life.
