Surakarta – FKIP UMS
The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) welcomed a benchmarking visit from STKIP Modern Ngawi on Tuesday (date to be confirmed). The visit was part of STKIP Modern Ngawi’s preparation for institutional and study program accreditation. Five study programs at FKIP UMS served as the focus of the benchmarking: Early Childhood Teacher Education (PG-PAUD), Primary School Teacher Education (PGSD), Biology Education, Mathematics Education, and Physical Education, Health, and Recreation (Penjas).
The delegation from STKIP Modern Ngawi was warmly received by FKIP UMS leadership, including Vice Dean I, Dr. Mauly Halwat Hikmat, Ph.D.; Vice Dean II, Dr. Murfiah Dewi Wulandari, M.Psi.; and a representative of the Quality Assurance Unit (GJM), Adi Nurcahyo, S.Pd., M.Pd. Also present were the heads of the five study programs being benchmarked:

In her welcoming speech, Dr. Mauly Halwat Hikmat stated that FKIP UMS is always open to sharing best practices, particularly in study program management and academic quality improvement. “Benchmarking activities like this are essential for broadening perspectives, mutual learning, and building collaboration among higher education institutions,” she said.
During the visit, lecturers and the accreditation team from STKIP Modern Ngawi observed various laboratories, learning facilities, and academic management systems in each program. Some of the laboratories visited included the PG-PAUD Lab, PGSD Microteaching Lab, Biology Lab, Mathematics Computation Lab, and Penjas Lab.
This activity is expected to provide STKIP Modern Ngawi with a concrete reference in developing strategies and meeting accreditation standards set by BAN-PT and LAMDIK. FKIP UMS remains committed to supporting the continuous improvement of higher education quality, both internally and externally.
