Two Doctoral Candidates Earn Doctorates in Education from FKIP UMS

The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) at Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta (UMS) has once again achieved an academic milestone with the successful holding of two Open Doctoral Promotion Sessions from the Doctoral Program in Education, conducted on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, at the Microteaching Room, 4th Floor, FKIP UMS Campus 1.

Session I: Agus Sunaryo – Experiential Learning for Vocational Education

The first session was held from 09:00 to 11:00 AM, featuring Agus Sunaryo (Student ID: Q300220002), who presented his dissertation titled:
“Development of a Mentoring-Based Experiential Learning Method (ELBM) for Entrepreneurship Education in Vocational High Schools in Kebumen.”

He was supervised by the following doctoral advisory team:

  • Prof. Dr. Bambang Sumardjoko, M.Pd. (Principal Supervisor)

  • Prof. Dr. Harsono, S.U. (Co-Supervisor I)

  • Prof. Dr. Endang Fauziati, M.Hum. (Co-Supervisor II)

Session II: Suprojo – STEM-Oriented Ethnomathematics for Junior High Students

The second session was held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, featuring Suprojo (Student ID: Q300220001), who defended his dissertation titled:
“Development of a STEM-Oriented Ethnomathematics E-Module to Enhance Learning Independence and HOTS Problem-Solving Competency Among Junior High School Students in Grobogan.”

His supervisory team included:
